Staff at the Cornucopia Cafe, which opened about 13 years ago, were told last week the business was being sold to a private operator.
Those employed after the sale would no longer be able to work at the cafe for years. They would be moved on after 12 months, offering no flexibility or commitment to those living with life-long mental illnesses.
This programme is highly successful and operates provides a great community service and interaction.
