Stop Media and Tabloids from Spreading Lies

We demand something to be done to stop media and tabloids from spreading lies. We want to make it clear, that we strongly believe in freedom of speech, but there is a difference between freedom of speech and harassment.

In the workplace if another employee is in your face all day asking you questions, taking photos, calling you names, or printing lies about you, they would get fired, fined, go to jail, etc. It is against the law. But the press is allowed to do this to celebrities. They should have the same rights. I've heard people say that they put themselves in the limelight. But just because entertaining is someone's occupation, should they deserve harassment? It should be unlawful.

We should be innocent until proven guilty. We believe people should have the right to express their opinions, but calling someone "Wacko Jacko" is not expressing an opinion, neither is calling someone a childmolester when they were never convicted. Michael Jackson was acquitted from all charges and yet the news still keeps talking about the child molestation charges against him. In a court of law, if someone wasn't convicted of something you can't even bring it up in another case, yet why is the media then allowed?

There is much evidence of his innocence, but the media is not talking about any of this! We are angry they dont print or talk about all the good he did all over the world. Why? Because they don't make as much money selling those stories. But look how the lies have hurt Michael and others? An innocent man was tormented and humiliated. He worked so hard to keep his kids out of the cameras to protect them, but as soon as he died they are all over the cover of the tabloids and soon they will do the same thing to them -innocent children. What if it was your kid being harrassed? We saw how it killed Princess Diana, and now Michael Jackson. It must be stopped.
