Lacrosse came on the scene at Granada 2 years ago. The high school track team and the CYO track team have been using the field for decades. The high volume of athletes ranging from 6 to 18 years of age, outnumber the lacrosse players 3 fold, however, it is the Lacrosse team that rules the roost and endangers all other athletes.
The lacrosse players are in full protective uniforms, they fling balls into the track and into the athletes that practice track and field. This is not only an injury and lawsuit waiting to happen, but unfair to all those that have been utilizing the field safely for all these years.
Please sign to abolish Lacrosse from Granada High School, making the track once
again safe for all track and field athletes from elementary school through high
school.
