Stop Independent Taxi Discriminating Against African Americans

I had an important engagement to attend at the CAAM Museum on Feburary 22, 2007; I had to be there at 6:00p.m., so at 4:00 p.m. I called the 800 number of the above mentioned taxi, and placed my reservation for pick up at 5:30, needless to say at 5:30; I was looking out the window, and no taxi, so I called the Taxi again, he said my name, and told me, they would see if they could get me a taxi in the area; I said, I would think you had more then ample time to do that, since I called in so early. I caught the bus, and was late to my function.

When I arrived back home on my phone was Independent Taxi with a 323 number and the time was 6:15p.m. when I was called. Now, I don't see Racisim in every moment of my life, but I feel this was most definately racisim, you see, he detected my African American Accent, just as I detected his foriegn accent. Only when I obtained the name of the president of the company, did I know which country they were from, Nehabai Ahmed. These are people that are under a caste system, so they get together, pool their resources and purchase a business. I have no problem with that, my problem stems from they come over here, and look down on us, and in their own country, if they were born poor they cannot work themselves up as they can and are doing in this country.
