Since living in Little Bourke Street, I have noticed the endless number of people succumbed by hawkers/hagglers nearly forcing people to enter their restaurants.
People have a free will and will enter a restaurant if they desire, they don't need people yelling at the top of their voice to enter a shop.
Generally, non-Chineserestaurants don't do it, why should Chinatown? Not only is it disturbing the environment and residents, but it also creates a negative image for Chinatown here in Melbourne.
I wish for Melbourne City Council to ban haggling/hawkering for customers to enter a restaurant as I wish to walk down Little Bourke Street undisturbed.
