Directgov is currently advertising for "female presenters" for 'internet babe chat'.

Women claiming benefits are already in a vulnerable situation. The fact that this is being added to by the jobcentre advertising "work" in the sex industry is completely unacceptable.

At best the DWP is playing the role of introducing these vulnerable women to those who wish to profit from their exploitation. However claimants can be issued with a list of vacancies they must apply for if they wish to avoid sanctioning, so the DWP may actually be forcing women into the sex industry.

We demand that this advertisement and any like it are removed, and that the DWP assures the public that it will not advertise work in the sex industry in the future.

We believe it is unacceptable that the DWP is advertising work in the sex industry, and are concerned that this may have led to some women being forced into the industry.

We demand that this advertisement and any like it are removed, and that the DWP assures the public that it will not advertise work in the sex industry in the future.
