Stop Domestic Crime by Preventing Domestic Violence

We, the undersigned call on the President Barack Obama and the US Congress to prevent domestic/campus violence amd crime.

This petition calls for a change in the Law on Domestic Violence/Campus Assault. WHY? This hideous crime is conducted by those who are close to the victims' circle and occurs at every level of income or education. Do you know that the majority of adult violent prisoners were raised in violent homes; 95% of all cases of partner abuse involve a man beating a woman; two in five women who are murdered are killed by their husbands. Nonetheless, the abusers comfortable behind the closed doors of their homes or dorms feel invincible.

Therefore, this petition calls for the following:

1) All domestic violence/campus assault victims should have the right to receive an official Police Report describing the nature of an assault, or the reasons they live in fear of the alleged abuser.

2) The abusers identified in the victims' complaints should be warned by Police that if something happens to their victims they will be prosecuted as the only persons of interest.

3) The alleged abusers should sign a binding document that they understand the legal consequences of this warning.
