Thank you everyone. It takes balls to oppose the popular crowd. You are all great!
The county is proposing a land purchase on Dotsonville Rd/ Gip Manning Rd in order to build a training facility for Law Enforcement/Fire/EMS. I want to stop the purchase due to pollution, both noise and air, from shooting ranges and planned burns.
We, the undersigned, petition the Montgomery County Governing Body and the County Commission to prevent the purchase of Haley Hollow Farms, Control Map 077 Parcel 090.00, for Law Enforcement/EMS/Fire training. This would cause an unwanted amount of traffic and noise/air pollution in a peaceful and fairly quiet neighborhood. There are many other properties that are not surrounded by residential lots that have a similar topography and access that would better suit the needs of the county for a lot less than the asking price of Haley Hollow. We do not want to see such a beautiful piece of land turned into a shooting and burning range.
