In 2017, Coro Realty Advisors purchased the ground level retail real estate at 800 Peachtree Street where Escorpion restaurant and others are located. They have been trying ever since to turn the customer parking lot into a park-for-hire lot. We are very concerned that when that area is busy with Fox theater, Ga Tech, and other midtown events the parking lot will be filled up with pay to park customers. As a results, the customers for the retail businesses will have no-where to park. This will lead to an inevitable loss of business for the retailers, destroying the past 8 years of hard work we have been putting in to make this a vibrant intown corner. Please help us retain free and accessible parking for all customers of 800 peachtree Street and oppose U-18-014 Park for Hire application.
We enjoy dining at Escorpion Restaurant located at 800 Peachtree. An important reason we go to Escorpion is the availability of free and accessible parking behind the restaurant. If the parking lot is converted to a "park for hire" lot, we are less likely to dine at Escorpion. We urge you to keep the parking lot 800 Peachtree free and accessible to all current patrons. We oppose U-18-014 making it a “park for hire” lot.
