News organization like CNN, MSNBC, FOX and others unnecessarily refer to groups of people by color, race and ethnicity among other things. I hate being refered to as a black vote. This is absolutely unnecessary. Any candidate should be trying to capture as much votes as possible, not taking color etc into consideration. The news media should not assume they know what every “Black “ person, “Hispanic” person, or “White” person etc is thinking and therefore should not group people.. When I’m looking at a broadcast I can clearly see who the anchor is talking about. Why then does the subject still have to be refered to as Black or Hispanic or a woman? Because of an audience listening to an audio broadcast some would argue but is it nessary? In some cases yes but in most cases no. This practice needs to stop and it needs to stop now. If these Networks see everyone as equal I can’t see why they would continue to do so. Another thing they do which erks me is make a big fuss when a non white male individual does something they call a first. On its face it may seem harmless but to someone like me, disrespectful. People of color, people of certain origin, Women, are as capable as any white male given the same education and opportunity. Look at it another way. It’s like saying hey people look what this monkey just did, can you believe it. It’s time for these this to STOP! NOW.
We are asking that the News media stop calling people Black, White, Hispanic etc unneccessarily. This is 2018.
