This petition is to end assigned seating/tables for all children, this is their time for socializing and bonding with their friends like most of us as parents and those before us. It should be their right and their time as individuals to sit with friends at lunch.
When I asked a school why this was a policy the assistant principal insisted it was easier to keep the lunch area more organized and also stated it was easier for the teachers.
Children have a right to socialize during lunch time so please sign this petition so children now and in the future may socialize and interact with friends as most of ALL of us did in school. Thank You
We, the undersigned, call on the Board of Education to eliminate assigned seating and assigned tables at school lunch In schools so children are able to socialize with fellow friends.
