There are approved plans to strip mine the old beagle club property off of mill hill rd. Starting July 14th 2017 thru July 14th 2018 there will be explosions between 8am thru 9 pm. These property owners do not even live near their vacant property, the property is simply a money maker for the owners with no regard to the people that live in Elizabeth. Our health and township are at risk. Our gardens will be polluted with the run off and most importantly the air we breath will be polluted with the dust particles from the explosives that will have carbon monoxide, ammonia, sulfur dioxide and many other things that we shouldn't have to breath because this family wants to make a little money.
Please sign the petition to have the strip mining stopped.
The environmental impact of mining includes erosion, formation of sinkholes, loss of biodiversity, and contamination of soil, groundwater and surface water by
chemicals from mining processes.
We the residents of Elizabeth and Elizabeth twp. call on the board members to reverse their decision to allow the minning of the old beagle club property off of mill hill rd. Presently know as The five oaks inc. The residents of the areas health are at risk and we do not want the mining to take place.
