Stop All Plans Of Turlock’s Tent City!!!

After much talk by our city council of a “tent city” or “outdoor homeless shelter” in our town of Turlock California and a meeting which occurred on Wednesday 7/3 at 10:30AM I feel it is our responsibility to come together as a community to show our concern for how this will negatively impact our town! There has been talk of this “tent city” bringing in an estimated $5,000 a month but at who’s expense? There has also been talk of the tent city being planted in the heart of downtown! Again, at who’s expense? OURS! The people and especially the businesses! This will only attract more homeless individuals to our town that is already deteriorating. This problem is steadily getting far out of hand and we have to make an impact and put a stop to this. Do we need a solution? YES! Is this it? Absolutely not. Our police and fire are already being cut and are severely under staffed to be having to now worry about an outdoor homeless shelter and just imagine what it will do to our businesses. We will be ruined! We already deal with enough vandalism and theft as it is we can not afford anymore. Our level of saftey will severely be compromised. Please join me in collecting electronic signatures so we at least have concrete proof that the members of this town do not agree with the proposed tent city in Turlock California. Thank you.
