Recently, it has come to be known that the recycling cans at WAHS, instead of being recycled, go straight to the landfill. Implementing an actual recycling program at Western would save an enormous amount of waste overall. Not only would recycling save our planet, but our school budget as well. Recycling services cost less than typical trash disposal, meaning there would then be more money in the school budget to be reallocated to other more important areas.
We, the undersigned, call on Western administration to fully implement a recycling program at WAHS.
