In everyday life bullying is becoming more and more of a problem. Many children feel they are not taken seriously or the bullying gets worse because they have told someone. In the last week alone there has been 2 reported suicides of young people in my local area.
A study in Britain found at least half of suicides in young people are related to bullying and the same study also found that girls aged 10-14 may be at an even higher risk.
It has also been shown that there is a strong link between bulging and suicide. Victims of bullying are 2-9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims.
We the undersigned, call on David Cameron and other members of parliament to review the laws on bullying and to introduce tougher laws to protect victims of this horrible act.
