Angliss st. is a suburban st which runs off Geelong rd. where the speed limit is 80kmh.
Most cars turning off Geelong rd to enter Angliss st continue travelling at high speeds of 80kmh in the 50kmh zone and either ignore the stop sign or merely slow down.
Reckless driving in an area where mostly families with young children reside is both dangerous and frightening.
We, the undersigned call on the Maribyrnong City Council to install speed humps in Angliss st. Yarraville to slow down speeding traffic.
Most cars travelling off Geelong rd. into Angliss st continue to travel at very high speeds where the speed limit should be 50kmh.
Many families with young children reside in the area of concern. These children often play or ride their bikes on and around Angliss st. The safety of these children is of utmost importance, so please consider the installation of speed humps to slow down speeding drivers in Angliss st.
