On March 15, 2016 Dallas Woodford Jr III and his mother Samantha Edleman were walking down Berger Rd in Paducah, KY on their way to a local park. When the two stopped to cross the road that's when Dallas pulled away from his mother in a hurry to get across the road. Unfortunately Dallas was hit by an oncoming truck and later passed away from his injuries.
This road is one of the worst roads in Paducah. It's very narrow and does not have a sidewalk for people to stay off the main road. The speed limit is set at 35 but unfortunately people do not abide by that speed. There have been several accidents on this road due to this. Now the family is stepping up in hopes to make Berger Rd safer by adding sidewalks for people to walk on and to have a pedestrian crossing at the end of the road since there is one at the opposite end.
PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO MAKE BERGER RD SAFER FOR OUR COMMUNITY AND FOR OUR CHILDREN.
THANKS,
CAREN EARLE AND
MELYNDA BURNETT
