Trenton's toxic taxation and aid cuts to the north and west four counties of the state have reached critical mass. The Free Jersey movement is an answer to Trenton's fiscal abuse. This is a battle for self-preservation.
New Jersey's tax policies have led to widespread unemployment in our Free Jersey area. The 11.5% corporate tax rate this year will drive more business out, leading to loss of revenue and more taxation. Governor Phil Murphy (Dem.) has targeted the Free Jersey counties for reduction of state school aid in excess of $40 million by 2025. These devastating cuts will lead to higher property taxes, which then will drive property values further down in the Free Jersey counties, leading to foreclosure and growing unemployment.

We the people of Hunterdon County, Morris County, Sussex County and Warren County demand a referendum in our four counties to secede from New Jersey.
Trenton's policies take revenue from us in the Free Jersey counties, and then withhold from us our fair share of aid and services. We now demand this referendum, and if successful, our freedom as the 51st of the United States.
