This petition was created solely to organize the USVI small business community to seek immediate relief from the catastrophic impact the closure of the Federal Government will have on the territories small business community and local economy.
By signing this petition you are simply requesting that Governor de Jongh, the White House, and the U.S. Small Business Administration make immediately available the SBA’s disaster loan program and other forms of relief (should they be available) to keep local businesses operating in light of the government shutdown.
We the undersigned do hereby request an economic injury disaster declaration be declared and the immediate availability of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program to the small business community of the USVI.
