The Village Board of Trustees is continuing to pursue rezoning for additional housing in the North Riverside area despite public opposition (61.4% said no in the Public Survey distributed by the Village) and will soon be voting on “Local Law Introductory No. 10 in 2019”.
The North Riverside rezoning was allow for 3 story mixed-use buildings within the Core Commercial areas and 3 story residential buildings in the Transitional Areas whereas under current zoning only 2 story structures are permitted. This change will open the door to a drastic change in the character of the North Riverside area and led to congestion and parking issues which
was flagged by 71% of participants in the survey has currently being insufficient.

Dear Mayor Pugh and Croton Board of Trustees,
As members of the community, we are against and protest the rezoning of the Rezoning of the North Riverside Area of the Village of Croton on Hudson as set forth in proposed Local Law Introductory No 10 of 2019.
1. In response to the public survey sent by the village, the majority, 61.4%, said no and only 25% said yes to rezoning for additional housing in the North Riverside area
2. In response to the public survey sent by the village, the majority, 61.8% said no and only 24.8 said yes to rezoning from 2 stories (currently permitted) to 3 stories.
3. Development will create more congestion and parking issues in an already heavily trafficked area.
4.We therefore protest the rezoning ask you to vote no the proposed Local Law Introductory No. 9 in 2019 and not rezone the Municipal Place Gateway.
