The Village Board of Trustees is continuing to pursue rezoning for additional housing in the Municipal Place Gateway despite public opposition (68% said no in the Public Survey distributed by the Village) and will soon be voting on “Local Law Introductory No. 9 in 2019”.
The Municipal Place Gateway includes the Village-owned Katz property, the wooded area at the corner of Municipal Place and Maple Street.
For more information, please visit the following links. A map of the area is included in the Public Survey Summary.

Dear Mayor Pugh and Croton Board of Trustees,
As members of the community, we are against the rezoning of the Municipal Place Gateway, centered around the intersection of Municipal Place and Maple Street.
1. In response to the public survey sent by the village, the majority, 68%, said no to rezoning for additional housing at the Municipal Place Gateway.
2. Development will create more congestion and parking issues in an already heavily trafficked area.
3. The Katz property is one of the last remaining areas in the Gateway with mature trees, critical to maintaining the small-town feel of Croton-on-Hudson and neutralizing carbon emissions.
We therefore ask you to vote no the proposed Local Law Introductory No. 9 in 2019 and not rezone the Municipal Place Gateway.
