Fife Council have ignored the people of Lower Largo's objection to building on the field east of Durham Wynd.
This field is the natural boundary to Lower Largo and is part of the Lowland Dens seperating Upper Largo and Lower Largo. Allowing building on this site will affect the aesthetic beauty of the village and cause the two villages to merge.
We the undersigned object to any development on Field East of Durham Wynd designated LLA01 in the East Fife Plan for the following reasons:
1) The present water and sewage infrastructure cannot support another 70 houses.
2) The present road structure cannot cope with the additional cars and there will be far more than the permitted 200 cars using Durham Wynd as an access.
3) This development is lineal creepage and will merge Upper Largo into Lower Largo. There will be less than 220m between the two villages.
4) The village boundary has been expanded outside its original boundary.
5) This development will seriously affect the Durham Park playing area and spoil the views and attraction of the park.
6) This site will spoil the panaramic views as you enter Lower Largo from the East Neuk turning the village into another commuter town.
7) The village does not need another 70 houses as it is a vibrant community.
8) Lower Largo has been added to The East Fife Plan without increasing the housing allocation of 500 houses showing that the new houses are not needed in this area.
9) This field was previously considered an important view and protected.
