In recent events the United Kingdom chose to leave the EU in a referendum won by brexit. The winning margin was 4%. Leavers took 52% of the vote while remainers took 48%.
Remainers have now created a petition to implement a rule stating that there should be a 2nd referendum held in the circumstance where there is less then a 60%/40% winning vote based on a vote turnout of less than a 75%. So far they have surpassed the 100,000 signatures needed to be debated and taken seriously.
I am therefore creating this petition to say NO to a second referendum should they succeed. The people of the United Kingdom have spoken and our decision should be respected. If you voted leave sign this petition.
We, the undersigned, call upon HM Goverment not to implement a rule calling for a second referendum where the leave vote is less than 60% based on a less than 75% vote turnout.
