We the undersigned hereby affirm that we, alumni, faculty, staff, current students, parents, or members of the Oakland City community question the leadership of the current administration and stewardship of the Board of Trustees of Oakland City University.

We urge the administration and the Board to restore the true spirit of Oakland City University with its mission of Christian outreach, high quality education, fair and respectful treatment of all employees, fiscal responsibility fostering sustainability and growth while following its motto of "affordable quality Christian education".

We also urge the administration and the Board to explain the decisions regarding the course of the university made in recent years to the Oakland City University community of alumni, students, faculty, staff, and others concerned. We further urge the administration and the Board to accept and respect dissent at Oakland City University and allow all members of the OCU community to express respectful dissent without fear of repercussions. In doing so, we hope to restore tolerance, communication, and cooperation for the success and survival of OCU.

If the administration is unwilling or unable to take the steps above, we urge both Dr. Ray Barber and Dr. Robert Yeager to step down from their administrative positions or their removal by the Board of Trustees.

Together we demand this public service in order to maintain the integrity, productivity, and sustainability of Oakland City University.
