We have achieved a great deal with your help at the Victoria Pool and Saratoga Spa State Park and are starting a new petition to get the pool open Memorial Day.
The Save the Victoria Pool Society was formed in summer 2003 to encourage our appointed and elected representatives to repair and restore the Victoria Pool and other architectural National Landmarks, grounds and roads located within the 2200 acres of the Saratoga Spa State Park in Saratoga Springs, New York.
This petition of the undersigned draws to the attention of New York State Parks Commissioner Bernadette Castro, Governor George Pataki and Senator Joseph Bruno the total neglect by the State of New York of the Pools, buildings, grounds and roads of the Saratoga Spa State Park located in Saratoga Springs, NY.
In particular, the Victoria Pool, Roosevelt Bathhouses I and II, Reflecting Pond,Little Theater(Spa Summer Theater), Dance Museum (Washington Bathhouse), and SPAC amphitheater are in danger of being lost or closed because they are in such disrepair.
If our elected and appointed officials do not act very soon to repair and restore them, we will lose the grandeur and beauty of the pools, buildings,and grounds of this 2200 acre state park that cannot be found anywhere else in America and are a National as well as New York State Landmark.
