On November 22, 2007 an article was written in the Local section of the Palm Beach Post entitled "Rivals hold dialogue on the new library plan."

In said article, those who oppose the current City Center(City Hall,Library and Photographic Institute) Location(Clematis St. and Dixie Hwy) are proposing an alternative plan. In that plan, the library and photographic conpoments would be built within the existing Meyer Ampitheatre site, next to the intracoastal on Flagler Drive.

There are several reasons why this proposal would have tremendous adverse effects on the growth and lifestyle of Downtown West Palm Beach.

The first reason is 1. Economic Development. The Meyer Ampitheatre is an asset that drives commerce and employment through diverse relevant programming.

The next reason is 2. Cultural Identity. Creating a culture through sophisticated live entertainment showcases, will define Downtown West Palm Beach's Cultural environment.

Finally the last reason is 3. General Aesthetic. The Meyer Amphitheater is a beautiful multi-use facility that promotes social congregation and interaction(sports, pic-nic, meditation).

We, the undersigned, demand the City Commission of West Palm Beach prevent any structure, present or future, from being developed on the existing Meyer Amphitheatre site.
