The pier was re-opened so the petition is no longer necassary, thank-you.
Recently the Boca Grande Fishing Pier was closed due to unsecured pilings. This is the only pier on Boca Grande.If closed we will lose one of the best recreational fishing piers in the area. The island will lose a significant amount of revenue in tolls.
The local business, some who rely heavily on fisherman, will suffer. Many tourist and local fisherman will no longer have a reason to patronize the island.
We, the undersigned, call on the Charlotte County Commissioners to save the Boca Grande Fishing Pier.
