The Amazon Rainforest is very important to the entire world.
It is home to many species of animals, insects, birds, and plants.
The plants are necessary to make medications that we take everyday for diseases, but only about 2% of the plants in the Amazon are used. 98% of plants have not been used but may be very useful in curing many more diseases.
But the rainforest is being destroyed quickly. It is estimated that as much as 2,700 square miles of rain forest was cleared from August through December of 2007.
So sign this petition, who knows you may be saving someone's life, even your own life.
