Great news! The Summit Township Board voted August 2nd, 2010 to preserve Summit Park and will not build the Town Hall in the park. Thank you to the board for their decision and special thanks to everyone who signed the petition.
Friends of Summit Park (www.friendsofsummitpark.org), is a Non Profit Organization and we plan on working with Summit Township to enhance and preserve the beauty of this Lake Michigan treasure!
Summit Township in Mason County, Michigan has awarded a bid to a Muskegon contractor to design and build a 2,880 square foot Township Hall in the middle of Summit Township Park.
This would permanently eliminate the recreational area located between the restrooms and the tennis courts.
Save our park, save our green space.
