It has been discussed at the West Moors Parish Council Meeting on the 23rd of February 2012, regarding the installation of a puffin to be put in place near the Memorial Hall, Station Road, West Moors.
Councillor Finney stated that there would NO LONGER BE A NEED FOR A SCHOOL CROSSING PATROL.
We the undersigned call for Dorset District Council to rethink this decision, as this is such a busy road and could potentially put our children at further risk of a road traffics accident.
Peter our school crossing patrol person, has a fantastic relationship with both parent and children. He knows which children belong to whom and on many an occasion has prevented a small child crossing the road without there parents.
We feel that any decision to take away our School Crossing Patrol Person from Station Road will be detrimental to the safety of our children.
