The Southern Downs Regional Council has advertised for the marketing of selling Slade School campus, which is an historic part of Warwick, Queensland.
A local campaign group - Save Our Slade - including principal petitioner Mrs Margaret McKinnon is calling for the government to purchase the school for future educational purposes in Warwick and surrounds.
The petition of a) citizens of Queensland or b) residents of the State of Queensland or c) electors of Southern Downs draws to the attention of the House the opportunity to purchase Slade School in its entirety for future educational purposes in Warwick.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to urgently consider this petition on behalf of the citizens of Warwick and surrounding districts.
