Save Our Pubs and Restaurants

The UK wide Covid-19 lockdown that began on 20 March 2020, is having a devastating impact on many businesses across the UK.

In particular independent Pubs and Restaurants are very vulnerable.

These local businesses were the first to be shut down by lockdown regulations.
It would seem they will be the last to be released from lockdown.

We recognize the value of Pubs and Restaurants as being at the heart of a local community for social events - as well as providing local jobs.

It is estimated that up to 50% of independent pubs and restaurants may not re-open, and will be permanently lost from the local scene.

Pubs and Restaurants are especially vulnerable to interruption of cash flow - many of these businesses might simply not come back, which in our view would be an absolute tragedy for the UK

We are calling on the UK Government to make British pubs and restaurants a special case and allow them to open in at least a limited way, to get urgently needed revenue into these businesses started again.

Pubs and Restaurants are opening up in locations around the world such as Spain, Australia and Florida.
