The Town of Lake Park administration is recommending that we change the Historic Preservation Code which currently PROTECTS our historic structures from being Demolished or inappropriately altered.
They propose that we protect ONLY the 11 out of 180 that have gone through the process to be "designated historic". The remaining 160 + that have been identified as eligible to be designated, will no longer be protected.
We, the undersigned, call on the Town of Lake Park to protect the Historically significant structures of our Town and, according to current code, to designate them as historic before changing the Historic Preservation Ordinance.
