Burnley Borough Council's Local Plan, currently out for consultation, contains a proposal to build houses on green land at Clevelands Road, Burnley.
Local councillor, Tony Martin, said: "I object very strongly to this proposal. The scheme would mean the loss of a much valued local amenity. We have enough brown field sites more suitable for this type of development. Building work and increased traffic would cause disruption and significant problems for local residents. Our local primary schools are already full. I am asking the council to think again and remove this proposal from the Local Plan".
We the undersigned call on Burnley Borough Council to remove from the Local Plan the proposal (HS1/32) to build houses on green land at Clevelands Road, Burnley.
