The VPR Homeowners Board recently approved (by a vote of 3-2) and initiated a plan to improve the common slopes/areas of our neighborhood.
With an initial budget/cost of $60,000 for Phase I, the master/long term plan will run into the hundreds of thousands. The primary reasons for the plan were to update aesthetics and to derive savings in maintenance and water usage expenses.
This plan has failed in both objectives. The newly landscaped areas are a stark and disappointing contrast to the originally developed design in both quality of plant specimens and overall beauty, diminishing the overall appeal of the neighborhood for current and future homeowners.
Additionally, The Maintenance company responsible for maintaining the common areas reports that there will be no savings in maintenance cost nor in water usage.
We, the undersigned, call on the Vista Pointe Ridge Board to immediately halt the current landscape renovation project and submit a revised and detailed plan inclusive of landscape designs, plant/tree specimens, planned tree removal and estimated costs as well as estimated Return On Investment (ROI) if applicable to all homeowners for feedback and approval.
