Lancaster City Council plan to close Carnforth swimming pool on 30th September, 2017. This place and its loyal, long serving staff have taught generations of families to swim and it is a real community gem. It's location is ideal for those who live more rurally outside of Lancaster, with good public transport links via bus and train. For learning to swim, the smaller pool size enables young children to feel more secure and confident in the water.
Spread the word and perhaps if enough of us make our voices heard and sign this petition, the council will change their mind.
