On 30th September 2011 funding for Birmingham Citizens Advice Bureau’s Mental Health
outreach service comes to an end. This service has been running since 1992 and has been
providing debt and welfare benefits advice for people with severe and enduring mental health issues for nearly 20 years.
The team visits outreaches across the city and works with clients, their families, social workers, CPNs and Psychiatric Consultants to assist their clients holistically with a specialist casework service. The team have a wealth of experience and knowledge and the loss of this service will leave a massive gap in provision for those experiencing mental illness and debt and welfare benefit problems.
Please sign our petition so we can demonstrate to Birmingham City Council how important the continuation of funding for this service is.
We, the undersigned, ask Birmingham City Council to continue funding Birmingham Citizens Advice Bureau's Mental Health Service.
