According to scientific evidence, life begins at conception or fertilization. According to the Constitution, we must protect both the lives of the mother and the unborn child. There are forces which seek to only seek protection of the mother to the detriment of the unborn.
Presently there are bills pending that address the issue on the protection of the unborn. Congress ought to enact a law which protects the lives of both the mother and the unborn.
We, the undersigned, call upon the Senate and the House of Representatives of the Philippines to enact a law that will protect both the lives of the mother and the unborn child in accordance with the Constitution.
