Revise Speed Limit To 45MPH On Flager St

The Current Speed Limit on Flager St. From Montana Ave. to Santa Fe Trl is inconsistent and potentially dangerous. When traveling northbound from Montana toward Santa Fe Trl. the speed limit is posted at 45mph then changes to 30mph and then back to 45mph until you get to Santa Fe Trl. At that point it changes to 30mph. Going from Sante Fe Trl back to Montana, it is posted 45mph and then 30mph and never reverts back to 45mph even in the area where traffic in the opposite direction is 45mph. This is confusing and potentially deceiving.

Residents within the community of Haciendas Del Norte can all attest to occasions where attempting to drive posted speed limits that others behind them will attempt to pressure them by intimidating driving tactics or just pass them in an unsafe way. The speed changes cause undue stress for normally safe drivers who want to be obedient to the posted signs. This is causing stress related danger on the main entry into the community.

We the residents and people of this community respectfully request the posted speed to be revised to a consistent 45MPH from Montana to Santa Fe Trl with posted caution curve signs at the only bend in the middle of that route. We feel our safety requires this logical change. By signature of the residents within this community, we hereby petition the change according to our desire for a safe entry to our community.
