The exam is so hard for pass, and I believe everyone who enrolled in this unit have similar feelings. All my friends who enrolled in this unit have no certainty they will pass. We paid a big amount of money to study, attend tutorials every week, and make good effort to review.
However, because the difficulty of the exam has increased to an impossible level and because of the unreasonable exam structure (15 marks MCQ, 85 marks short answer question), we cannot even finish the exam. Is that fair? YOU CANT WASTE OUR EFFORTS IN SUCH IRRESPONSIBLE AND AWFUL WAY!
Besides, there is no revision lecture for this unit, with no explicit direction for us to review this unit. Therefore we are petitioning the Vice Chancellor to take urgent action to rectify this embarrassing situation for the University and ensure that no other students will be subjected to the circus we have experienced this semester!
We would like to see:
- Collect true evaluation from every student;
- An independant audit of this Semester's teaching, that involves interviews with students.
- pass all students enrolled in this unit or get rid of the hurdle
- A standardising of the marking to reflect the hardship faced by each of us in this unit.
If the above are not rectified we have legal advice that suggests it could (and should) be taken further to the Victorian and Civil Administrative Tribunal.
