At the turn of the Century approx 1900, Fredrick Francis Burmeister subdivided land now known as Glandore. The properties are of a row cottage style with several villas and bungalows built along the tramline.

The subdivider died in 1929 and the laneways providing vehicle access to the rear of many homes has remained unclaimed for several generations.

The beneficiaries of the laneways have no wish to claim ownership nor are interested being involved and have publicly offered them to council.

The City of Marion are reluctant to take over ownership for the small cost of under $2000 plus maintenance.

This petition is an alternative to a hardcopy one already in existence.

We seek those who have a genuine interest in the Burmeister laneways in Glandore and wish to see the City of Marion take ownership of them with the view to maintain them rather than at the cost of rate payers.
