Newcastle skate park was once the hub for skaters, bmx riders & scooter riders, located at the south end of Newcastle Beach.
Unfortunately it has been neglected over the years and is now in desperate need of a revamp.
To whom it may concern,
I believe that it is in the best interest for Newcastle to revamp the Newcastle Skate Park located at the South end of Newcastle Beach.
It has the space for a state of the art skate park to be redeveloped, not to mention the ideal location.
The benefits of revamping Newcastle Skate park would include being able to host events that could coincide with other well known events such as Surfest; it could also bring more tourism to Newcastle as a destination for skaters and riders from all over Australia and globally.
It would also make for a continuous redevelopment theme stemming from the Newcastle Baths, which have recently been revamped. Making the Newcastle waterfront a top destination.
Currently the park is in a state of disrepair and desperately needs either repairing or revamping.
