The village fountain provided villagers with fresh water for nearly 200 years up until the 1970s. It has since been turned off and forgotten. With the world currently facing an environmental crisis caused by single use plastics many progressive councils across the country have started to reinstate public water fountains (or bottle refill stations) to vastly reduce single use plastics. What are our local councillors doing?
A working fountain not only helps environmentally but has wider community health and economic benefits,
We already have an amazing fountain, we just need to make it work again!
We the undersigned ask the local Radcliffe-on-Trent councillors to bring our historic fountain back to life.
