Lees Brook School was due for a redevelopment later in 2010. After the election in April this year, the new government has had a knee jerk reaction to cut costs and hence the development programme Derby Schools has been axed (including Lees Brook).
This school is falling apart at the seems. Work was due to start at Christmas after an 4 year programme to to develop plans and I guess already considerable cost. How much is it going to cost to maintain these decrepit buildings (if they don't fall down on their own accord).

This a request to the Government to reconsider the Derby schools development programme, to realise that our children need a reasonable building to undertake education and to and allow the development programme Lees Brook to go ahead.
