PLS SIGN BEFORE OCTOBER 21 TO SAVE THE 40,000 YEARS OF HERITAGE AT BRIGHTON. Reroute the Bridge to save the Jordan River Levee's 40,000 year old heritage site.
Department of Infrastructure, Energy and resources have applied for a permit to build a bridge as part of the Brighton Bypass road. If this bridge permit is granted by Minister David O'Byrne, it will be built in and over a 40,000 year old Tasmanian Aboriginal cultural heritage site.
If this bridge is built, it will destroy the sacred site at kutalayna (Jordan River).
Petition to David O'Byrne, Minister for Environment, Parks and Heritage, Tasmania - to reject the permit application made by DEIR to build a bridge over the 40,000 year old Jordan River Levee cultural heritage site.
Furthermore, that the Jordan River Levee site be declared protected under the 'Relics Act 1975' by Minister David O'Byrne.
