I have done my research to how many injuries and deaths have happened since law was changed in 2009 and it really makes me angry that everyone is required to wear a seatbelt but no helmet is required for motorized bikes.
My youngest son was involved in a very serious head accident on 9/18/2013 and was on ICU in Beaumont Texas, St Elizabeth hospital, where he is in rehab now. His head was the only injury but he now has permanent brain damage. This was so unnessassary.
This accident not only affected him but our entire family and friends. I will not stop until I see stiff fines are given if riding without a helmet.
We, the undersigned, call on the congress to pass a law requiring any motorized bike/four wheeler, to wear a helmet at all times or have to pay a stiff fine.
