People who care for members of their families in their own homes need time away from care-giving - respite. Past respite services funded through waivers provided minimal support for these families.
The proposed cuts to respite waiver services will put additional stress on these families. Respite care is an essential human need for families caring for relatives with a disability.
We, the undersigned, petition the Department of Human Services to restore projected cuts to respite waiver funding.
