The state of New York has passed the NY SAFE Act, which has banned "high capacity" magazines, as well as "assault weapons", such as AR-15's.

The state of New York and it's governing bodies think that punishing law-abiding citizens thinking that it will some how make us safer. The fact is, disarming citizens will make us more vulnerable to criminals.
Laws like the "NY SAFE Act" will circumvent our Second Amendment. Unlike popular belief the Second Amendment isn't about sport shooting, or hunting. It's about defending from tyranny. "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
Most people think that those words means we need a militia (or the military as it's know today). It's not. It's about the People keeping and bear arms. So we can defend against a tyrannical government and the militia that will be ordered to fire on us.
So, I urge all those who see this to please tell Governor Cuomo that we won't be disarmed. Please sign this petition. Thank you.
