Section 1. of the 14th Amendment contains the Citizenship Clause which states: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. This was added to allow the children of slaves to remain in the United States after they were freed.
This was never meant to allow people to come here with the sole intent of giving birth to gain citizenship for their children. This Citizenship Clause must be reversed!
We, the undersigned, call on the President of the United States of America to eliminate, repeal or reverse the "Citizenship Clause" in Section 1. of the 14th Amendment to the United States of America.
This clause is no longer needed and is being abused by illegal immigrants with the sole purpose of gaining citizenship by sidestepping our immigration process.
