The road going from Pra Song through Ban Nambhor, Naku, and Piman is in dire need of repair and/or resurfacing. This road is used by all the communities here to travel to and from Nakae District.
It is extremely dangerous to drive on, not only because of the pot-holes (some of which are more than 25 CMs deep) but also because of the number of motorcycles that are on there too.
Everyone on this road has to swerve to get around these holes and people in general do not pay attention to other vehicles on the road at the same time.
Furthermore, if a person was seriously ill and had to be rushed to the local hospital (12 kilometers away) they might not make it in time, because the road is so bad that ambulances and/or personal vehicles could not drive at the necessary speed to arrive at the hospital in time. Life saving.
Approximately one year ago this situation was brought to the attention of the Department of Rural Roads and also to the Governor of Nakon Phanom Provence. As a result, the Department of Rural Roads did come out finally and do some repair work. But now the road has deteriorated even more. There are some places on the road that will be, before long, deteriorated so bad that there will be no paving left.
We, the undersigned, call on the Department of Rural Roads of Nakhon Phanom to completely repair or completely resurface this road.
